Amberley is a community of tall shady trees, friendly neighbors, and water access. Baltimore Magazine named Amberley as one of the most desirable communities in Maryland, and we take pride in maintaining the special beauty of our waterside enclave. Framed by Whitehall and Ridout creeks, Amberley is nestled just around the bend from the Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis, and the Bay Bridge. Our residents enjoy boating and fishing on the Bay, as well as walking, jogging, and bike riding along the scenic roads and trails which meander gently through the neighborhood.

Amberley is a community of 182 properties created from a portion of the Davidson Family property (Hollywood Farms) in 1949. The property was developed as a joint venture between members of the Davidson Family and Fred Voges (who built his home within the community). In 1959, the management of the community was turned over to the Amberley Community Association. Many of the early houses were created as summer homes on the water, and many of the early community members were connected to the Navy. Now we are a community of diverse professions, with households ranging from young families to long time retirees.

Since purchasing and preserving an additional 15+ acres of wooded waterfront land in 1980, Amberley has enjoyed its own neighborhood park, complete with wooded nature trail and sylvan picnic areas, which hosts a number of community get-togethers. With its three community piers, community raft-ups, wine tastings, and abundant bayside wildlife, Amberley is a vibrant community with a treasured mix of new and long-term residents.
